MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Shelby County grand jury has found a man guilty of the second-degree murder of his wife.
On January 3, 2022, investigators say Roy Ezell Jones, 59, and his wife, Juanita Jones, were arguing in their home in Frayser on the 2000 block of Burnham Avenue before 4 p.m.
As soon as police arrived on the scene, they found Jones’ wife unresponsive from a gunshot wound.
Officers say a child was present in the home and heard a gunshot coming from another room. Jones came in and stated, “I did a bad thing,” and left the scene in a vehicle…
