MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A recycling plant was caught on fire late Monday night, sparking flames in the Hershey Factory employee parking lot, according to reports. A nearby neighbor captured video of the scene shown above.
The Memphis Fire Department says they responded to a commercial fire call at 975 Kansas Street, which is home to Plastic Products Manufacturing [Eco Cycle], around 11:24 p.m.
When fire crews arrived, they said heavy fire was coming from the inside of the southeast back corner of the building, near the baler machine. The Memphis Police Department also says they responded to the scene.
Nearly $500,000 worth of structural and vehicle damage was reported, and $390,000 worth of content loss, according to the fire department. One vehicle exposure was reported…
