Memphis man arrested outside Nashville after traffic stop, police say

MT. JULIET, Tenn. – A Memphis man was arrested in the Nashville suburb of Mt. Juliet after a routine traffic stop, police said Thursday.

Mt. Juliet police said an officer pulled over a man on Pleasant Grove Road for not wearing a seatbelt. During the stop, police said, they discovered the man, a 39-year-old from Memphis, was wanted on a warrant out of Memphis for felony aggravated assault with strangulation and continued physical assault from mid-June.

Police said he was also driving on an indefinitely revoked driver’s license…
