Daytime Auto Theft Strikes Memphis CarMax, Police Seek Leads on Stolen Camaro

Residents in the vicinity of 3475 Germantown Road were witnesses to a bold daytime auto theft this past Wednesday, as reported by the Memphis Police Department. A 2017 Chevrolet Camaro, bearing Tennessee license plate BLD9137, had just been delivered and parked at the local CarMax when it became the target of thieves.

The Memphis Police stated the incident occurred at approximately 3:43 p.m. where suspects in a white sedan executed a swift theft, one individual, described as a slim black male clad in a black and white jacket with black pants and shoes, exited the vehicle, entered the Camaro, and then both the crime-committed sedan and the freshly stolen Camaro fled the scene in tandem.

The dealership, which specializes in pre-owned vehicles, is now working with authorities as they seek any leads on the culprits. The Memphis Police have made a call for public assistance, declaring, “Anyone with information about this incident should call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.”…
