Arrest made in deadly downtown shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man wanted for murder surrendered to the U.S. Marshals Service on Monday, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Lorenzo Gordon, 38, was facing an arrest warrant for first-degree murder after being accused of shooting a man to death last year.

On April 8, 2024, Memphis Police say they responded to a shots-fired call downtown near Danny Thomas Boulevard and Ratliff Road.
