MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An 18-year-old accused of shooting a 93-year-old woman to death back in 2024 is now detained on a $1 million bond, according to the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office.
Derrion Taylor is charged in a triple shooting that took place in the 1800 block of Kendale Avenue on January 17, 2024. Taylor was 17 years old during the time of the homicide.
The shooting left two people injured and killed 93-year-old Geraldine Harris.
Taylor was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on July 25, 2025, and charged with first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, and two counts of aggravated assault.
