Memphis Police Seek Public Assistance After Brazen $1,000 Shoplifting at AV Mart

In an incident that has Memphis police on the lookout, AV Mart at 3818 South Mendenhall Road became the scene of a well-orchestrated shoplifting event. According to the Memphis Police Department, three females entered the establishment on July 10 and brazenly walked away with more than $1,000 worth of food items, secreted in large trash bags.

The report detailed the sequence of events, which began at 11:40 a.m. when the trio entered the store and proceeded to casually order pizza. As the staff busied themselves with preparing the order, the women took the opportunity to hastily fill their bags with various food items. It wasn’t until after they had vacated the premises that the theft was discovered.
