MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 22-year-old man is facing drug and weapons charges after he was caught on a live camera with a gun in downtown Memphis, police say.
Kelvin Davis was booked in the Shelby County Jail on Monday for possession of a firearm during a dangerous felony, unlawful possession of weapons, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to police, on July 13 at around 1:30 am, officers at the department’s downtown command center saw three males with guns walking toward pedestrians at Peabody Place and Rufus Thomas.

North Main Street officers said when they got to the location, they observed men with guns matching the command center’s description entering and exiting a black Charger.
MPD said Davis was detained when he tried to walk away from the Charger.
