Man stopped to get beer after shooting wife, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is currently in jail after he allegedly shot his wife and stopped to get a beer when he was driving her to the hospital last month, according to the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office.

Police identified Decarlo Pitchford, 51, as the man responsible.

His charges are attempted second-degree murder, domestic assault, and felon in possession of a firearm.
