Back to school event to end gun violence

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Local activists are taking action to combat violence as children return to school with the 22nd annual ‘Stop the Killing’ back-to-school drive in southwest Memphis.

The event provided essential school supplies to local children, aiming to raise awareness about gun violence in the community.

“I understand about being in trouble myself,” said Stevie Moore, founder and president of the Stop the Killing Foundation. “I’ve been doing this ever since I got out of jail trying to help turn children around before they get to what I had to go through.”…
