Two men wanted in 4 armed robberies downtown

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police say two men are wanted in four armed robberies that took place around the South Main area of downtown Memphis late Saturday night.

  • The first was at 9:45 p.m. at East Butler Avenue and Wagner Place. Cash and a phone were taken.
  • At 10:00 p.m., officers responded to a robbery in the 500 block of Front Street. Two phones were taken.
  • At 12:45 a.m. Sunday morning, a ring and phone were taken from victims in the 600 block of Denmark Drive, a residential complex off Tennessee street.
  • While investigating the last crime, officers were approached by a woman who said two armed men stole her Gucci purse with Airpods inside. The headphones were later recovered on South Third Street.
