Memphis man claims woman stole his valuable fur collection

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man says a woman he invited into his home left with mink coats, a mink hat, and other items valued at around $80,000.

The alleged theft occurred in July, but Ashley Edward, 38, was booked in the Shelby County Jail on Wednesday on a charge of theft of property between $60,000 and $250,000.

The 74-year-old victim said he left Edward alone in his apartment, and when he returned, she was gone, along with three mink coats, a mink hat, a leather jacket, and $200 in coins.
