International Paper cutting 1,100 more jobs as part of restructuring

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis-based International Paper is eliminating more than 1,000 jobs as part of a restructuring of its packaging business.

The company plans to close its Savannah, Ga. containerboard mill, the Savannah, Ga. packaging facility, Riceboro containerboard mill and Riceboro Timber and Lumber.
