2 wanted for scrap metal theft at North Memphis elementary school, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Police are looking for two men they said stole scrap metal from a North Memphis elementary school earlier this month.

Memphis Police (MPD) said it happened just after 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11 at Gordon Elementary on Breedlove Street. Officers responded to a theft call and found that two men in a white GMC truck stole copper from an air conditioning unit located at the back of the school, police said.
