Germantown police charge two women with felony theft

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two women are locked up in Germantown accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from area stores.

Maelisa Caldararu, age 24, and Evrimona Trifum, age 32, both of New Mexico both have been charged with Possession of Tools to Disable Theft Deterrent Devices and Theft of Property of $10,000.00-$59,999.00.

On August 28, 2025, officers from the Germantown Police Department, in coordination with the Memphis Police Department Appling Farms Task Force and Bartlett Police Department Crime Suppression Unit, arrested the pair in connection with a felony theft investigation.
