Family of Memphis Rox employee killed at work launches fundraiser

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The family of a man whose life was taken in a shooting while he was at work in late June is calling on the community for support and assistance as they cope with his passing.

Jarmond Johnson was shot and killed on Sunday, June 29, while working a shift at Memphis Rox Climbing on East McLemore Avenue just after 4 p.m. Following Johnson’s death, the business closed its doors for a week to allow the community to grieve.

Johnson’s family has started a GoFundMe fundraiser asking the community to support his fiancée, who must now raise her and Johnson’s child on her own…
