Murder suspect arrested by U.S. Marshals months after fatal North Memphis shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A murder suspect was arrested Thursday in connection with a fatal shooting at a North Memphis market in March, according to the U.S. Marshals.

Jeffery White, 39, has been charged with First-Degree Murder.

On Mar. 26, around 6:00 p.m., officers responded to a shooting outside of the North Memphis Market in the 1500 block of Vollintine Avenue.

The victim, Lasheka Johnson, was transported to Regional One Medical Center.
