DESOTO COUNTY, Miss. — A Panola County man will spend decades in custody after pleading guilty to a violent 2023 shooting that left two people injured, according to the DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office.
District Attorney Matthew Barton announced Wednesday that Anjayvious Farmer has been sentenced to 40 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to two counts of attempted murder.
The district attorney’s office said the case stems from a September 3, 2023, incident at a Coldwater gas station.
