2 arrested on warrants during shooting call in Cherokee

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two men were arrested overnight on the scene of a shooting call after police say they both had warrants out for their arrest.

Officers say around 11:50 p.m., they responded to the shooting call in the 2800 block of Filmore Avenue at an apartment complex. Several people were standing outside and told police they heard multiple gunshots.

One of the witnesses told police that the person who was shot was next door.

When officers went to the apartment next door, they say they found a man was found at the scene, hiding behind the bathroom door…
