MATA looks for direction without CEO, board members

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It’s been just over a week since five members of the Memphis Area Transit Authority board turned in their resignations, leaving a leadership vacuum in the city’s public transit system.

There is no CEO at MATA and, outside of a committee meeting next week, there is no news of what will happen next for the transit line.
