16-year-old 901 Day shooter will remain in custody, DA says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Shelby County District Attorney’s Office is confirming that the teen accused of a shooting on 901 day will remain in custody.

The 16-year-old and his mother have been arrested and charged following the September 1 shooting that injured a 17-year-old on Beale Street during the 901 Day festivities.

The teen is facing charges for attempted second-degree murder and employment of a firearm to commit a dangerous felony…
