Early on a quiet September morning, Char, a dining spot located at 431 South Highland, became the target of a burglary that has left the local community looking for answers. According to reports by the Memphis Police Department, the establishment was broken into by four individuals at the pre-dawn hour of 4:25 a.m. on September 11, 2025.
Security footage captured from the scene shows the suspects making their way into the building and subsequently absconding with a safe, which contained an estimated $1,000 worth of silverware, along with multiple bottles of premium liquor. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction after carrying out their calculated pilferage.
