Man sentenced to nearly 13 years for drug charges, U.S. Attorney’s Office says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A Memphis man was sentenced to 151 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to two counts of possessing a controlled substance with intent to distribute, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee said.

44-year-old Randy Oliver, according to information presented in court, sold cocaine to an undercover agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) in June of 2023, and a mixture of cocaine and fentanyl to an ATF agent in July of that same year. Oliver was then arrested on July 20, 2023 during another attempted drug sale while he was holding 53 grams of cocaine.

The Attorney’s Office said Oliver has a lengthy criminal record, including eleven convictions for drugs or firearms, including one for distributing heroin in 2010…
