Locally owned Downtown Chick-fil-A to create 120 new jobs; opening Thursday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Chick-fil-A is opening its doors Thursday in Downtown Memphis, bringing 120 jobs to the area.

The new location is locally owned and operated by Memphis nativeCeCe Glenn and has its own Instagram page.

According to a release from Chick-fil-A, Glenn’s love for Chick-fil-A began at just seven years old, when she enjoyed her first Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich with her parents at the Mall of Memphis — a moment that sparked a lifelong connection.

“I believe this restaurant has the power to change lives here in Memphis, and I’m truly humbled to be entrusted with bringing Chick-fil-A’s care and hospitality to Uptown,” said Glenn. “This community shaped who I am — my high school is just four minutes away — so for me, this restaurant is more than just a business venture; it’s a chance to invest in my team, serve my Guests with excellence, and be a light in the community I proudly call home.”

Chick-fil-A Uptown Memphis will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering drive-thru, delivery, and Mobile Thru.

Chick-fil-A said the drive-thru-focused location is designed for speed and efficiency, and will also serve guests through its drive-thru and a walk-up window for carry-out. There is outdoor seating only at the restaurant…
