Memphis mother says 14-year-old son traumatized after being handcuffed by federal agents looking for his older brothers

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis mother says her teenage son was wrongly detained and handcuffed by federal agents during a surprise law enforcement operation outside her Raleigh home.

Tricia Liggins said that a quiet Sunday afternoon turned chaotic when federal agents arrived at her house. The agents were reportedly searching for her 25-year-old twin sons, who have outstanding warrants but do not live at her current address.

Liggins has lived in Memphis her entire life and spent the past seven years in the Raleigh home. But after this encounter, she said that sense of home is gone…
