MILLINGTON, Tenn. — Millington says time is almost up in a standoff between the city and County Clerk Wanda Halbert to resolve a $40,000 dispute over office space.
Millington City Manager Frankie Dakin said he had not heard from Halbert regarding the almost $40,000 the city contends Halbert’s office owes for space where she operates a Millington branch office.
The city stood by a threat of legal action if payment was not received or another solution reached.
