Firefighters work to put out South Memphis fire: Photos

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A South Memphis home caught fire early Tuesday morning.

Fire crews could be seen at the home fire in the 2400 block of McRae Road, a little before 5 a.m., still putting out flames that appeared to be on the powerlines.

According to the Memphis Fire Department, the fire was ruled an accident, and the estimated cost of repairs is around $30,000 to the house itself and $9,000 for its contents…
