Memphis, TN – A 31-year-old man, Keenan Morris, has been arrested and charged with aggravated burglary, rape, kidnapping, and abuse of an elderly adult after allegedly attacking and sexually assaulting a 70-year-old woman in her home.
Details of the Attack
According to the victim’s account, Morris approached her residence in the Raleigh neighborhood and asked to use her phone. Once inside, the victim claims that Morris forced his way in and sexually assaulted her. The victim further reported that before leaving the home, Morris made a chilling remark, saying, “I decided not to kill you.”
The assault occurred last week, but the victim did not immediately contact authorities. It wasn’t until Monday, when she saw Morris standing near her vehicle, that she decided to call the police and report the incident.
Morris’ Denial of the Allegations
When questioned by the police, Morris allegedly told officers that he had knocked on the victim’s door because her car was running. However, he denied any involvement in the assault and claimed he did not harm the elderly woman.
