MS substitute teacher loses job after posting TikTok video calling student ‘shorty’

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman will no longer be substitute teaching at DeSoto County Schools after posting a video of students to social media.

The video posted on Friday on TikTok was a day in the life of a substitute teacher and featured video of students in the hallway, and received 550,600 views and 68,200 likes.

At one point, you can hear the substitute teacher call a student looking her way “shorty” and says she has to “get after these school kids trying to take me down.”…
