Mississippi grocery shoppers react to SNAP benefits pause due to government shutdown

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (WMC) – Grocery shoppers in Southaven says the temporary pause of SNAP benefits in Mississippi comes at a particularly difficult time.

“Kinda crappy man, because a lot of people are on them, and in November, you’ve got Thanksgiving,” said Kevin Rodgers, a Southaven grocery shopper.
