MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Christmas is coming early for thousands of our neighbors this Saturday at the annual event set to take place at Greater Community Temple Church of God in Christ.
Christmas in November will once again provide clothes, toys, and other supplies. However, this year, things are a bit different, as high on the list for many is the need for food.

“It’s gonna be a wonderful time for the people to get what they need to further life,” said Bishop Brandon B. Porter, Greater Community Temple COGIC. “We are always touching the community, that’s why it’s called Greater Community – we are a church in the heart of the community, with the people of the community, in its heart.”
With an ongoing mission to take the church’s mega sanctuary to the streets, Bishop Porter says, “Our mission is to just show the love of Jesus Christ by helping people. Blessed people, bless people.”
“Oh, you’re talking about tons of items that we have here because we have roughly about 20,000 plus people that have pre-registered,” he said…
