Memphis nonprofit calls for data on the prosecution outcomes of task force arrests

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – With more than 1,700 arrests by the Memphis Safe Task Force, one local non-profit wants to know the outcomes of the cases.

Memphis Crime Beat is dedicated to reducing crime by tracking stats and holding local authorities and the justice system accountable.

Their message is that what happens after the arrests are made is just as important, but they say there’s a lack of transparency on what happens in court…
