MLGW returns program aimed at preventing winter cutoffs for seniors, people with disabilities

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Registration is now open for Memphis Light, Gas and Water’s (MLGW) Winter Moratorium program, which aims to prevent service cutoffs during the winter months for seniors and people living with a disability.

This does not mean the customers don’t pay their bills for that period of service. “But if the bill exceeds the customer’s means, the customer will not be disconnected,” MLGW said in a statement.
