Man injured after overnight shooting in South Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was injured after an overnight shooting in South Memphis, police confirm.

Officers say they arrived at an apartment complex in the 2200 block of South Parkway East around 12:05 a.m.

According to officers, they spoke with two witnesses on the scene, a man and his girlfriend, who said two males were attempting to steal his vehicle.

Authorities searched for both suspects and saw two people running; however, they lost track of them. They returned to the scene to speak with both witnesses again…
