WEST MEMPHIS, AR — An Arkansas man who sent a chilling text message saying, “I’m officially done with you,” before unleashing a barrage of bullets on his ex-girlfriend has been sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison — plus 830 years.
On Thursday, a Crittenden County jury convicted 27-year-old Ashton Wardlow of first-degree murder and 17 counts of terroristic acts, each carrying firearm enhancements. Circuit Judge Dan Ritchey imposed four consecutive life sentences, followed by 830 additional years, ensuring Wardlow will never be released.
The victim, 23-year-old Ivori Harris, was found dead inside her bullet-riddled car in West Memphis on June 29, 2024. Authorities said Wardlow fired 117 rounds into her vehicle, causing it to crash into a nearby home and nearly strike a resident inside.
A Deadly End to a Violent Relationship
