MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Public Library workers are pushing to be unionized and hosted a community rally and concert on Saturday raise awareness for their cause.
The event, organized in partnership with local community organizations and bands, aimed to support Memphis library workers in their efforts to formalize their union and advocate for their rights.
“This is about celebrating working people and empowering our community,” said Skyler, an MPL-WU worker. “We’re building a Memphis where library workers and our neighbors can come together to fight for more for our city and for each other.”
