MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Community members and lawmakers are calling for change after yet more problems plague 201 Poplar.
WREG has been reporting extensively about the overcrowding, reports of poor conditions and understaffing at the Shelby County Jail. The influx of hundreds of inmates following arrests by the Memphis Safe Task Force issues now appears to be exacerbating the problems.
