Memphis Animal Services saves 10 dogs in Lamar Ave. cleanup

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Animal Services says it is working with the city to improve the Lamar Avenue corridor by addressing the stray animal problem in the area.

Monday, MAS posted pictures of animal control officers rounding up 10 dogs in the neighborhood to Facebook.

MAS said it was partnering with the City of Memphis and multiple departments on the Lamar Avenue Corridor Revitalization Plan, a large-scale effort focused on improving safety, reducing blight, and creating a cleaner, safer community along one of the city’s busiest roadways.

MAS said the “friendly pups” rescued from the streets of Memphis are now being cared for at the shelter, waiting for their forever homes…
