MATA offering free rides to passengers for 90 days

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) launched its 90-day “zero fare pilot program,” allowing passengers to use its services for free.

The program began Nov. 16. Riders will not need passes, fare cards, or payments to hop on one of MATA’s services for 90 days. The free access applies to all of its services, including fixed-route buses, trolleys and MATAplus services.
