Charger leads chase from Cordova to North Memphis, trooper says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A suspect in a Dodge Charger led state troopers on a 150-mph chase from Cordova to North Memphis, authorities say.

A trooper said he was patrolling around North Germantown Parkway and Dexter Road at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, looking for two Chargers that were reportedly drag racing.

He thought he spotted one of them, but when he tried to make a traffic stop, he said the driver accelerated and merged onto Interstate 40 going west at 150 mph.
