City of Memphis will not spend $250 million to renovate Sheraton Hotel

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The City of Memphis will not spend the quarter-of-a-billion dollars expected to renovate the newly-acquired Sheraton Hotel, according to the mayor’s office.

A Memphis City Council Committee discussed the project Tuesday. The City of Memphis closed on the $22 million deal to buy the hotel on November 5.
