Virus outbreak shuts down Agricenter’s equine campus temporarily

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Agricenter International announced its equine campus is temporarily closing on Thursday due to a virus outbreak.

Agricenter International said that they’re closing the campus due to confirmed regional cases of Equine Herpesvirus Type 1 (EHV-1), including neurological cases known as Equine Herpes Myeloencephalopathy (EHM).

The Agricenter’s ShowPlace campus will be closed until Dec. 12 for all equine events and activities, including the following:

  • Public access to equine facilities
  • Scheduled events, lessons, or gatherings
  • Boarding-related movement or activity
