Brandon Isabelle Sentenced to 147 Years for Shelby County Double Murder and Kidnapping

In a judgment that has resonated through the Shelby County community, Brandon Isabelle has been given a 147-year prison sentence for his crimes, which include the 2022 murders of Danielle Hoyle and her infant daughter, Kennedy Hoyle. Judge Jennifer Johnson ordained that Isabelle’s homicide sentences for each victim—51 years for Danielle and 51 years for Kennedy—would run one after the other, culminating in a total of 102 years for the murders alone, as reported on the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office website.

The court topped this with an additional 45 years: Isabelle received 22.5 years each for Aggravated Child Neglect and, Especially Aggravated Kidnapping. Each term is to follow the previous, resulting in the cumulative 147-year sentence. The 22.5-year stretch handed down for the child neglect charge carries, a symbolic weight equal to one year for every hour that baby Kennedy lived.
