MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A former real estate agent is due in court Friday after being accused of stealing thousands from a property he agreed to manage.
Joshua Spotts, 40, was arrested Wednesday, and charged with theft of property ranging from $10,000 to $60,000.
According to court records, Spotts assisted a woman in buying a triplex property in September. He reportedly signed a contract stating that he would manage the property.
Part of the deal, the woman told police, Spotts was expected to send rent, security deposits sent in by renters, and to reserve money for general maintenance and upkeep of the property…
