MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The DeSoto Co. sheriff is praising one of his own who rescued two women from rushing floodwaters in Southaven.
The department posted a video to social media on Sunday showing Captain Johnathon Bigham rushing to help after an accident at Church Rd. and Tchulahoma Rd.
“His bravery reminds us that extraordinary courage is just part of our daily routine at the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, where ‘Uncommon Valor is a Common Virtue,’” Sheriff Thomas Tuggle posted.
