McNairy County Sheriff Guy Buck Released from Memphis Hospital After Surviving Head-On Collision

McNairy County Sheriff Guy Buck has been released from Regional One Health in Memphis after being involved in a serious head-on collision last week. In a statement obtained by Action News 5, Chief Deputy Zach Bay expressed the sheriff’s office’s relief, saying, “Sheriff Guy Buck has been released from Regional One Health in Memphis and is returning home tonight. After a serious head-on collision early Thursday morning, we are extremely grateful he is with us and on the road to recovery.”

The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Highway 57 near Michie, involving Buck’s Ford F-150 and two commercial vehicles, including a log truck. Following the incident, the Tennessee Highway Patrol stated that the crash involved another semi-truck and that the driver, a 27-year-old woman from Mississippi, may face charges pending investigation—a detail reported by WREG.
