Mother claims 7-year-old thrown down, handcuffed at Memphis school

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A federal lawsuit alleges a school resource officer threw a 7-year-old special needs student into a bookcase and onto the ground, then handcuffed him behind his back following an outburst.

The incident allegedly happened on November 22, 2024, at Levi Elementary School in Memphis.
