‘Career offender’ gets 20-year sentence for armed carjacking

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A “career offender” was sentenced to 20 years in prison for an armed carjacking in 2024, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Western District of Tennessee on Tuesday.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Western District of Tennessee said that on April 9 of 2024, Jadakiss Johnson, 23, and Tyrone White, 21, participated in an armed carjacking of a victim’s 2023 Toyota Camry.

The attorney’s office said that Johnson was driving the vehicle, and White approached the victim, in the driver’s seat of the Camry, pointed a gun at her, and told her to get out.

They said that when police confronted the two, Johnson fled in a different car and on foot, and they found multiple firearms and a machine gun conversion device in his getaway car…
