MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Safe Task Force is on city streets making arrests, and we’re told that gang members are a big part of who they are hauling in.
In WREG’s exclusive ride-along with the Memphis Safe Task Force, operation leaders made it clear to us they were targeting violent offenders. But they also told us in their daily operations they are coming up on suspects with even deeper criminal ties to gangs.
“I think today we have 310, individuals arrested or captured that are, that have an affiliation of gangs,” said Ryan Guay, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal. “I don’t make up the numbers. The numbers are what they are.”…
