MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is backing up numbers by police that crime is at a historic low in Memphis.
A new audit requested by two Tennessee lawmakers — Sen. Brent Taylor (R-Memphis) and Rep. John Gillespie (R-Memphis) — confirmed that data by the Memphis Police Department showing historic crime rates was true after all, even before the arrival of a federal task force.
